Bucilla Felt Applique Stocking Kit, The Christmas Drive, 18-Inch, 86663

I have used Bucilla Christmas stocking kits for my husband and myself, then for our 2 children, 5 grandchildren and now I am finally getting around to making one for our daughter-in-law and son-in-law!I especially like the quality of the felt in these kits. The instructions are quite thorough, even for beginners. Unfortunately, with the 2 kits that I have just purchased, there were some issues…almost half of the beads wouldn’t fit over the needle eye and couldn’t be used. There were many deformed white sequins, which I wouldn’t use. Two colors of embroidery floss were pieced together with knots! One needle was all bent, but they both had tiny eyes and it was impossible to thread them without a needle threader! I did call customer support and they are sending me more sequins and beads. This company is very accommodating and their representatives are pleasant and helpful!I also purchased little iron-on “Made by Grandma” labels for the back of the finished stockings!The stocking design is adorable, but does require a lot of embroidery, appliqués and lots of time! These stockings look absolutely beautiful on the fireplace mantle at Christmas!
