Chuckit! Amphibious Boomerang Dog Toy

My dog had knee surgery due to a torn CCL and really was not able to walk or run for some time. He is a lab, so I thought maybe some swimming might help him out. I went through a number of toys; tri-bumber, frisbee, and several others. But, he really wouldn’t take to any of them. I can’t say why, but more than once he would go out to fetch and come back with a stick he found floating and absolutely refuse to go get the toy. More than a few toys were abandoned after long attempts to get him to retrieve them.The boomerang toy, though, he absolutely loves. He fetches every time and we spend half an hour to an hour almost every day at a local pond. His leg has improved enormously, and having a fun toy he loves to play with is a huge part of the reason why. On the walk home I did have one fall out of my pocket, and tried to fall back on the other toys until the new one came from Amazon, but it was the same story as before, and I ended up tossing them into other people’s yards for other dogs to play with. This time I ordered three just in case I lose another one and/or Chuckit stops making them.I can’t say if all dogs will take to this toy like mine has, but he regularly brings this to me and drops it in my lap to remind me it’s time for him to go swimming. I highly recommend giving this a try. It flies well, is easy to throw a good distance, and sits right on top of the water for fetching. I have found no better water toy for my dog.
