Princeton Aqua Elite, Series 4850, Synthetic Kolinsky Watercolor Paint Brush,Quill, 6

$ 6.82

I have quickly fallen in love with the Princeton Aqua Elite series of synthetic Kolinsky watercolor brushes, since I started using them this spring. I like them because they are durable, well-made brushes that offer great paint load, springy responsiveness and a fine point that makes clean edges much easier. This size 6 quill is my favorite! It holds a ton of paint and distributes it onto the paper evenly, which is equally important. I love how long I can paint with it before I need to reload my brush. It’s fantastic for wet-in-wet techniques, but works equally well wet-on-dry. The fine tip allows me to create broad strokes and fine lines with the same brush, so I don’t have to change brushes as often. I do still tend to use multiple brushes in my illustration work, but being able to do more work with a single brush is greatly appreciated. One thing to note is that Princeton only offers this quill mop in a size 6.
